Our Clinicians
Dr. Lisa Gardner is a board-certified, surgically trained physician with over 20 years of experience caring for Texans. After years in corporate healthcare, she became increasingly concerned with the system’s reliance on prescription drugs over holistic, patient-focused solutions.
When Texas expanded access to medical cannabis, Dr. Lisa saw an opportunity to bring her patients a safe, effective alternative. Alongside her husband, Trey Phillips, she co-founded Thrive Medical Cannabis and Thrive Apothecary, becoming one of the state’s leading advocates for compassionate cannabis care.
Today, Dr. Lisa is dedicated to helping Texans live healthier, fuller lives by making medical cannabis treatment accessible, professional, and patient-centered.

Holly is a board-certified Physician Assistant with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. She earned her undergraduate degree in Life Science from Kansas State University before completing her Physician Assistant studies at Wichita State University.
After practicing traditional medicine for nearly 15 years, Holly shifted her focus toward a more holistic, patient-centered approach. Her clinical background spans Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Hormone Replacement Therapy, and Weight Management.
Today, Holly’s passion lies in helping patients achieve balance, vitality, and lasting health — both mentally and physically — through personalized care and integrative therapies.

Cal Graves was a dedicated medical cannabis clinician within the Thrive family. Cal touched the lives of thousands of our patients across the State of Texas. His gentle and caring demeanor put patients at ease. Cal gave patients a voice to advocate for themselves and their own health.
Cal is survived by his wife and two young children. The Thrive family is devastated at Cal’s unexpected passing, and we will always feel his absence.

Trey Phillips leverages a distinguished 20-year career as a Fort Worth Police Sergeant and SWAT Team Leader, where he led more than 1,000 tactical operations and developed a deep understanding of resilience, service, and the mental health challenges faced by first responders.
After retiring from law enforcement, Trey co-founded Thrive Medical Cannabis and Thrive Apothecary with his wife, Dr. Lisa Gardner. As President, he has helped build Thrive into Texas’s premier medical cannabis provider, pioneering access under the Compassionate Use Program and advocating for safe, plant-based alternatives to traditional prescription drugs. He is also an integral part of Fusion Healthy Aging, where he contributes his expertise in business growth and patient-centered service.
